Simon has worked with and advised creative businesses on their rights and the deals they do for almost 30 years both here and overseas. He has worked in some of NZ’s and the world’s leading law firms. He helped found Hudson Gavin Martin, New Zealand’s leading boutique commercial and corporate law firm specialising in technology, media and IP, working with clients like Microsoft, TVNZ, Universal Music, Fonterra and The Mind Lab.
Simon’s expertise covers a broad spectrum of corporate and commercial law matters all with a focus on the tech media and IP (such as new technology joint ventures, technology licensing, acquisition and sale of technology and media businesses and sponsorship).
He also advises or is a board member of a number of industry bodies and charities including NZ Tech NZ HIT and the Blind Foundation.
