Scholarships for the Master of Technological Futures

Tech Futures Lab scholarships provide selected Master's candidates with a 50% discount off full tuition fees.

The following scholarships are available:
  • Six scholarships/year for Maori candidates

  • Six scholarships/year for Pacific candidates

Applicants must:
  • Complete the appropriate scholarship application form and declarations. Candidates may apply for more than one scholarship (if eligible) but will only be granted one.

Scholarship deadlines:

29 November 2019 for January part-time Master's programme

Maori Candidate Scholarship

Pacific Candidate Scholarship

Please note:
  • Any scholarships not taken up in one intake are rolled over to the next intake within that calendar year.

  • Unallocated scholarships in one category cannot be transferred to another category.

  • If more applications are received for a category in any intake than the number of scholarships available, a panel from Tech Futures Lab will decide who will receive the available  scholarships based on the value of any other (non-Tech Futures Lab) scholarships received; evidence of financial hardship/need and the relative strength of the candidate’s application statement regarding alignment of their goals with the Master’s programme. All decisions will be final and are not subject to appeal.

  • Scholarships are subject to candidates successfully meeting eligibility criteria for the Master’s in addition to the specific criteria for the scholarship.

  • Scholarships cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount (so, if you have enrolled in time to qualify for an early bird discount, the candidate scholarship is applied instead of the early bird discount, not as well as the early bird discount).

  • Scholarships cannot be held over if an eligible candidate decides to postpone their Master’s study to a later intake. Candidates who postpone their study can re-apply for the scholarship when they decide to start their Master’s. It is not guaranteed that candidates who re-apply will be successful.
