Tech Futures Lab scholarships provide selected Master's and Postgraduate Certificate candidates with a 50% discount off full tuition fees.
The following scholarships are available:
Two scholarships for each programme intake for Maori candidates.
Two scholarships for each programme intake for Pacific candidates.
Complete the appropriate scholarship application form and declarations. Candidates may apply for more than one scholarship (if eligible) but will only be granted one.
Master of Technological Futures
- 17 September 2020 for October intake
Postgraduate Certificate in Human Potential for the Digital Economy
- 06 October 2020 for November intake
Postgraduate Certificate in Connected Environments
- 20 October 2020 for November intake
Any scholarships not taken up in one intake are rolled over to the next intake within that calendar year.
Unallocated scholarships in one category cannot be transferred to another category.
If more applications are received for a category in any intake than the number of scholarships available, a panel from Tech Futures Lab will decide who will receive the available scholarships based on the value of any other (non-Tech Futures Lab) scholarships received; evidence of financial hardship/need and the relative strength of the candidate’s application statement regarding alignment of their goals with the Master’s or Postgraduate Certificate programme. All decisions will be final and are not subject to appeal.
Scholarships are subject to candidates successfully meeting eligibility criteria for the Master’s or Postgraduate Certificate in addition to the specific criteria for the scholarship.
Scholarships cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount (so, if you have enrolled in time to qualify for an early bird discount, the candidate scholarship is applied instead of the early bird discount, not as well as the early bird discount).
Scholarships cannot be held over if an eligible candidate decides to postpone their study to a later intake. Candidates who postpone their study can re-apply for the scholarship when they decide to start their programme. It is not guaranteed that candidates who re-apply will be successful.
