Priti Ambani is an engineer, researcher, entrepreneur, and educator. Her career began in civil- environmental engineering and design. Over the last 10 years, as part of global teams and startup ventures in Asia, North America and Europe, Priti has led initiatives that leverage the dynamics of digital collaboration and emerging disruptive technologies to create shared value and thriving societies. She is a thought leader in networked business models and the future of work.
Priti is an Advisory Group Member at Tech Futures Lab, where she works with businesses, teams and boards, educating them on contemporary business strategies, platform business models and workforce capability building to drive innovation and business results. As part of the Business Innovation Faculty, on the Master of Technological Futures programme she teaches candidates about hi-tech entrepreneurship, networked business models, crowds and markets while advising 20+ Masters candidates on their business and startup projects.
Priti has been instrumental in the deployment and activation of Upsouth, a human empowerment platform enabling Auckland Council to activate meaningful relationships with their communities in South Auckland. She co-founded The Next Billion, an impact-driven enterprise that pools collective resources to invest in female-led businesses. Priti was born and raised in Mumbai, India and lived in the United States for 13 years before moving to New Zealand in 2015. She holds a Bachelor of Engineering (University of Mumbai) and a Master of Science (University of Maryland, College Park, USA). Priti is a registered Professional Engineer (USA).
Priti sits on the advisory boards of Auckland Business Chamber and Superdiversity Council.
