Confidence as a leader - at whatever level - hinges on the ability to navigate through change and disruption. In this course, you’ll learn how to develop ideas that put humanity at the heart of everything you do and allow for creative responses to humanity’s needs in a digital context.

Part-time: 32 weeks fully online

Phase 1 (week 1 - 16)

Tuesdays 4pm - 8pm + 16 hrs/week independent study

 

Phase 2 (week 17 - 32)

Tuesdays 4pm - 5.30 pm + 16 hrs/week independent study

Our Postgraduate Certificate is split into two key phases.

Sense and synthesise

Introduction to and immersion in disruptive technology, creative systems thinking, evaluation,  properties of change and embedding learning in the context of Kaupapa Maori values. 

16 weeks

Analyse and Develop

 

 

Build on knowledge and competency gained in the first phase to explore strategies 

 

Assessments, reports and a case study provide the opportunity to explore impact in the digital economy and the potential to thrive in complex and constantly evolving environments.

Entry Requirements

Designed for professionals, but suitable for anyone looking to drive positive change. 

  • We value industry and real-world experience as highly as an academic record. You'll need to  provide a personal statement of intent - you can do this via letter or video.

  • A recognised bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years' work experience OR equivalent professional experience.​​

 

  • Qualify as domestic student (NZ and Australian citizens and permanent residents).

 

Where could this programme take you?

Upon completion of the course, you’ll have a recognised NZQA, level 8 Postgraduate Certificate. You’ll earn 60 credits by completing the certificate and you can cross-credit 30 credits to our Masters’ of Technological Futures course if you want to take your journey of discovery further.
