An immersive 32-week programme designed to help you identify how digital technologies are transforming business models and challenging what ‘value’ means.

Blended Learning
16-20hrs per week

Blended learning:  2 hour weekly live online sessions Tuesday's 4-6pm (All weeks, except when there is a full-day workshop) and four full-day face-to-face workshops on Monday's (please see Programme Handbook for programme calendar).

$5,980 (incl. GST)

Domestic students only.

Studylink Student Loans are available. Depending on your study history, you may also be eligible for the Government’s Fees Free scheme.

Māori & Pacific Scholarships available

We have a total of four scholarships available on this programme for 50% off the full tuition fees:
Two Tangata Whenua Scholarships – For learners who identify as Māori.


Two Pacific Ako Scholarships – For learners who identify as Pacific Island descendants.

Travel Scholarships also available

The 2021 Travel Scholarship is intended to support students from outside of Auckland (North of Whangarei, South of Waikato region and South Island) to study the Human Potential for the Digital Economy postgraduate certificate. View our available Scholarships here.

A recognised qualification to make a difference

An NZQA- accredited qualification postgraduate programme, level 8 (60 credits).
Tech Futures Lab candidates enrol with our sister company, The Mind Lab, which is approved by NZQA to award this qualification.The Mind Lab is an NZQA registered Tertiary Education Organisation under the provisions of the Education Act 1989.

How to apply

Take the first step forward to your future and apply to enrol in the Postgraduate Certificate in Human Potential with us.

2. Get your documents in order.


Time required: this ones up to you, really depends on your archival approach.
You’ll need photos or scans of the following:

  • Proof of your citizenship or NZ residency i.e. passport, birth certificate or citizenship certificate
  • Your current CV or LinkedIn URL
  • Evidence of your academic record or relevant work or community experience i.e.Official academic record, written reference from a manager/ client, any original work or content you have created e.g. website, portfolio, report.




3. Set up an Enrolment account with Tech Futures Lab.


Time required: Less than 5mins

  • This account is attached to any enrolments you choose to make with Tech Futures Lab, now and in the future.




4. Complete your enrolment application details and upload the required documents.


Time required: 10-20mins

  • You’ll breeze through this if you have all your documentation at the ready




5. Accept our offer of place on the programme.


Time required: 5mins

  • Following the meeting and a review of your documentation, if you meet the entry criteria, we’ll send you an email with an offer of place on the programme. You will need to accept this within a week.




6. Settle your fees account.


Time required: varies depending on your payment method.

  • Accounts do need to be settled before the programme commences.
  • If you’re applying for a scholarship, we’ll get in touch to discuss next steps.




1. Check your eligibility.


To be admitted to the PGC-HPDE, all applicants must:

Have a recognised bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification or higher; AND a minimum of two years’ work experience in a field impacted by the Digital Economy;

Or

Have at least four years professional experience in a relevant industry or community demonstrating equivalence or higher to the qualification stated above.
