Business Redesign, Innovation and Marketing Expert

One of New Zealand's leading business redesign specialists, Melissa is a systems-based design strategist. She channels her awesomeness by helping purpose-led growth-minded businesses build NZ Inc consciously and sustainably.

As well as her work with Tech Futures Lab (where she mentors candidates and leads sessions in design-led insight, ideation, and innovation), Melissa is a business coach at The Icehouse and an advisory board member for a number of high growth start-ups.

Melissa has spent 25+ years leading large-scale business transformation and innovation canvassing an impressive range of companies and sectors including Gillette, British Telecom, Prudential, ANZ, Westpac, The Warehouse, Air NZ, World Vision, The Icehouse, and EcoStore, where she transformed the brand from hippy fringe to massive mainstream cool, winning a suite of brand, design, marketing and sustainability awards.

She’s recently founded the Tensegrity Method, a teachable methodology that integrates systems-based design thinking with lean canvas, circular economy thinking, and deeper commercials.  As an active conscious capitalist, she’s on a mission to change the conversation from the Future of Work to the Future of Business and get businesses FutureFit.
