Don't take our word for it

Every Tech Futures Lab graduate tells a different success story. Many have gone on to create impactful new businesses. Some have become self-employed enjoying greater flexibility and an improved quality of life. Others have created communities of change, led by a sense of injustice or unfairness. For most, it has been life-changing, eye-opening and of great influence in their next career decision. But don't take our word for it...

Steve Campbell

"I wanted a programme that would challenge me and support my existing personal development. I've always had an interest in horizon thinking and different ways of doing things..."

Ellen Yan

"I was very fortunate to be supported by Stuff, not only for the time off during the initial immersion phase. They continued their support by allowing me to perform my current role over four days."

Louise Nash

"The Master's led me to form a company called Circularity, a circular design agency. We work with businesses to help them adopt circular design principles."

Jamie Crump

"I’m delivering my [Master's] project for EducationNZ, my place of work. So my Master's is part of my work day."

Tommy Honey

"My master’s project is called Slimby, shared living in my backyard. It’s an ethical way of addressing the housing crisis."

Paula Williams

"I'm already considering a project in the future of AI. I am wanting to be a New Zealand leader who can credibly talk about current and future tech."

Winona Ngaro-Malifa

"You get to be part of this movement and industrial evolution that no one's really talking about. So it’s a really, really exciting opportunity."

Cathy Hardinge

"I think that’s one of the biggest things that the Tech Futures Master’s has done for my life - it’s moved me into something that I really care about."

Michael Khuwattansenee

"It's about finding your passion and supporting you to be where you want to be. I am going to build a disruptive business that fits with my passion."

Our graduates see the wood and the trees

“It’s that exposure in the first six months that really opens up your eyes to what’s happening, contemporary problems that people are dealing with.”

Sanjit Singh

"You hear it's all happening globally. But Tech Futures Lab localises the information. This course, and the people you have access to, offers a uniquely New Zealand perspective."

Seamus Barden

"It’s made a massive difference to my life - how I interact with other people, how I learn and absorb, it's made me a lot lighter on my feet in terms of the way I problem solve. "
