Tech Futures Lab is proudly partnering with Spark New Zealand to deliver the Postgraduate Certificate in Connected Environments. This partnership will enable students to work with connectivity hardware and have access to IoT industry knowledge and expertise.
A 34-week programme delivered in a blended learning model that includes live-online facilitated sessions and six full day onsite workshops at our Lab in Grafton, Auckland.
You’ll connect with leading industry experts who are at the forefront of this digital transformation evolution and get insights from them on real world application considerations. The full day workshops, spaced out over the course of the programme, are hands-on practical, technical learning sessions. It’s also a great chance to come together with your peers to collaborate and share ideas.
The Postgraduate Certificate is split into two phases. Phase one helps to lay the knowledge foundation that you’ll then apply in phase two.
Phase one: Discover
Learn all components of Connected Environments and the added value when integrated with machine learning, robotics and AI. Critically evaluate the value opportunity when applied in your field.
Phase two: Apply
Design, deliver and apply your own strategic Connected Environments project. Apply business modelling and develop business management structures.

Designed for professionals, but suitable for anyone with an analytical mind and a desire to do things smarter.
We value industry and real-world experience as highly as an academic record. You'll need to provide a personal statement of intent - you can do this via letter or video.
A recognised bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years' work experience OR equivalent professional experience.
Qualify as domestic student (NZ and Australian citizens and permanent residents).
