Dr. Mohsin Chaudhry
Jerome is Group General Manager at world-leading blockchain venture studio Centrality, a blockchain-based ecosystem that enables businesses to work together to gain scale through shared acquisition of users, data, content and merchants. In 2017, Centrality sold over $100 million of its digital tokens (CENNZ) in less than six minutes. Previously, Jerome was Executive General Manager at Orion Health. During his tenure as EGM, Orion Health reached $1 billion on its IPO listing and won 2014 Hi-Tech Company of the Year in NZ. Jerome is a Board Member of CentraPay, Performance Labs, Single Source, and Belong.
University of Auckland
Alex is an Associate Professor at the University of Auckland Business School, teaching a wide range of commercial law subjects. Her primary areas of research and publication are on blockchain technology, in particular, DAOs (decentralised autonomous organisations) the regulation of cryptocurrencies and the legal issues surrounding smart contracts.
Alex believes blockchain technology may be as disruptive, if not more disruptive, than the internet and it is vital for businesses, governments and others to understand blockchain technology and its potential uses.
Mark, one of NZ’s leading blockchain experts is on a mission to put New Zealand at the centre of the blockchain disruption. He is currently Director and Co-founder of Blockchainlabs.nz, an independent global blockchain advisor that specialises in security and R&D.
Mark is also President of the Blockchain Association of New Zealand and co-authored the report "New Zealand: Unlocking Blockchain’s Potential".
IBM New Zealand
Shahid is an Associate Partner at IBM New Zealand. He specialises in digital strategy, interactive experience, blockchain and artificial intelligence. Shahid is an expert practitioner in Lean Canvas and Business Case Visualisation as well as an IBM Design Thinking leader and Scrum Master. Previously based in China and India, he has worked in diverse teams and led several rapid high impact engagements for clients in a variety of industries across Asia Pacific. Shahid's work on blockchain has involved an in-depth focus on optimisation of clients' complex business processes, and the development of innovative blockchain economic models and governance. He is the lead spokesperson on blockchain at IBM New Zealand and frequently speaks at industry events and conferences.
Sean is software trainer based across Australia and New Zealand. A former IBM Websphere Cast Iron trainer, Sean has trained 200+ organisations. Sean is also a blockchain consultant, architect, advisor and researcher and has delivered over 50 talks on Bitcoin, blockchains, smart contracts and ICOs. Sean is a Certified Blockchain Professional. He designed and delivered New Zealand’s first blockchain training course and is now implementing a train-the-trainer program. Sean is the Past President and current Education Chair of the Blockchain Association of NZ, is part of the NZ standards committee and is involved in several working groups within Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies. Sean has been active in the crypto space since late 2014 creating various projects such as Ubering energy and accounting on the blockchain.
Katherine is CEO of Sphere Identity, a global identity blockchain-based identity platform for identity storage and on-boarding. As a firm believer that automation needs to do more than mirror manual ways of doing things, Katherine applies distributed technologies to architect and build new solutions. Blockchain and distributed technology are used to increase the identity security and internationalism. Katherine has 20 years of international management experience with technology companies such as AT&T-Unisource and Information Builders.
Kris is a Blockchain Strategist and Healthcare Consultant. He has spent his career in high reliability industries across the UK, US and Australasia. Working.at executive management level and in business process re-engineering. While in the UK he was responsible for the Quality Improvement Program across two London hospitals. He also consulted in change management, quality improvement, and worked in Pharmaceuticals and NGOs. In NZ he ran the project to standardise best practice clinical care across the three largest District Health Board’s and was on the National Stroke Advisory Committee. Kris has significant experience in start-ups, developing a high reliability process tracking software. He has seen the significant advantages that blockchain will bring in operational efficiencies and decentralised business models.
Dr Mohsin Chaudhry
Serial entrepreneur Dr Mo has a track record of successful start-ups, investments and leadership positions. He received his medical degree from the University of Otago and business qualification from HBX Harvard Business School. Dr. Mo has several years of clinical experience in a range of medical specialties, and an academic background as a published researcher. An early adopter of cryptocurrency, Dr. Mo is an avid proponent of distributed ledger technologies and their potential to revolutionise the health sector. His frustrations with the health sector, contrarian tendencies, and entrepreneurial spirit led to the conception of HealthDex an enterprise health data blockchain platform and decentralised exchange.
Gina is CMO of Mind Screen, a business that is saving and enriching lives by empowering people to manage their mental wellness. A paradigm changing approach, Mind Screen’s data driven ecosystem quantifies mental wellness so that it's no longer the poor cousin to physical health, and stakeholders such as workplaces, government policy makers, insurers and pharma can make better decisions. Blockchain will play a key role in enabling users to control and monetise their own mental health data. A 20 year marketing veteran, Gina has held marketing roles at many high tech companies including leading health system integrator HealthLink and Amazon.co.uk. She is currently completing a Master of Technological Futures from Tech Futures Lab, focusing on TGEs and blockchain use cases.
