Allan Froy is a seasoned application architect and technical strategist and a thought leader in the juxtaposition of trust and conversational AI, as well as the application of chatbots in disruptive business models. He has a keen interest in cutting-edge tech and robotics, and in harnessing the power of emerging technology to leave the world a better place.
Allan gained his first Master’s degree from the University of Nottingham, combining electronics engineering with management studies. He then spent nearly ten years working in software development and solutions architecture roles for the UK government.
He has been a Digital Application Architect at Bank of New Zealand since 2016, where he is accountable for architecture direction and technical coherence of the bank’s digital banking solutions for personal customers across web and mobile platforms, and is the in-house expert in conversational AI. Allan completed his Master of Technological Futures in parallel with his work at BNZ. His Master’s project took the form of a book - ‘Trust Me, I’m a Bot’ - and he is currently working on his second title, ‘The Chatbot Adoption Playbook’.
